The Ohio School Facilities Commission was created in May 1997 as a separate and distinct state agency to oversee the rebuilding of Ohio’s public schools.

OSFC Ethics Policy

Commission employees must, at all times, abide by Ohio’s ethics laws, as found in Chapters 102 and 2921 of the Ohio Revised Code and related statutes, and as interpreted by the Ohio Ethics Commission, Ohio courts, or any other investigative body authorized to interpret such laws.  Employees also must conduct themselves, at all times, in a manner that avoids the appearance of impropriety, favoritism, or bias.

Under our policy, OSFC employees cannot accept gifts from anyone. Please do not send gifts or gratuities of any nature to any OSFC employee, office or division. Gifts that are received will be returned along with a letter to the sender explaining that our ethics policy prohibits acceptance of such gifts.

Our mission is to provide funding, management oversight, and technical assistance to local school districts for construction and renovation of school facilities in order to provide an appropriate learning environment for Ohio’s school children.

Guiding Principles
