Declaration Regarding Material Assistance/Nonassistance to a Terrorist Organization (DMA)

Trade Contracts are bid out at the district level using the standard set forth by the commission. Districts are required to award the contract the firm submitting the lowest, responsible bid.

Bidding opportunities are posted and maintained by the project's Construction Managers on a regular basis. The OSFC maintains a statewide bid calendar that contains information on trade contract bidding opportunities.

Declaration Regarding Material Assistance/Nonassistance to a Terrorist Organization (DMA)

DMA. is an acronym for “Declaration Regarding Material Assistance/Nonassistance to a Terrorist Organization.” The DMA is a questionnaire which must be completed by anyone contracting with the State of Ohio to certify that they have not provided “material assistance” to a terrorist organization.  Additional information, including the Terrorist Exclusion List, is available from Ohio Homeland Security.

Drug Free Workplace

Contractors and subcontractors on state-funded construction projects are required to enroll in a Drug-Free Workplace Program that is approved by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. BWC has a number of publications regarding the Drug-Free Workplace Program, including a Drug-Free Workplace Program Procedural Guide
